My name is Sarah, I am an Australian surface pattern designer with a passion for finding joy and pleasure in the simple things and making our world a more beautiful place one pattern at a time.
Most of my work usually begins as a line drawing, sketch or painting inspired by childhood memories, family holidays and the beauty of nature found in my local surroundings of the Atherton Tablelands or coastal regions of Far North Queensland.
I have always had a love of art and design and as a child would spend hours drawing and painting. I have now embraced the world of digital design, using Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop to digitize my artwork to create repeat patterns, placement prints and spot graphics. I enjoy creating warm and unusual colour palettes and mood boards, keeping an eye on the latest trends. I love seeing my patterns find their way on to products all around the globe.
My patterns have a simple, elegant, hand drawn look with a modern vintage feel. Its my passion to create beautiful patterns that will evoke an inner joy, warmth and hint of nostalgia. My range of patterns are available for licensing or purchase or you can commission me for an individual project. I would love to hear from you if you are interested in working together.
As a surface pattern designer, I design patterns, illustrations, logos and designs to go on almost any surface. Whether it is for an art print, a roll of wallpaper, a cute baby's outfit, swimwear or stationary. I love to create patterns that are unique and will make your products sing!
I also create pattern collections that have a cohesive flow and colour palette which are available to view in my online portfolio or look books. My patterns are availiable for licensing or buyout, please contact me for more details.
If you have something specific in mind, I am happy to collaborate on commissions and develop designs that you are super happy with. Please contact me for further details.
